Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea are sexually transmitted infections (STIs) that are found in the semen and vaginal fluid of people who have them. They are easily passed on through any sex when a condom is not used.
Why test for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea?
Chlamydia is one of the most common STIs in the UK and in West Sussex— and you can also check for Gonorrhoea on the same test.
Wouldn’t I know if I had them?
No, many people have no symptoms. So without a test, you won’t know anything is wrong
Can Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea affect me?
Yes, women can get lower stomach pain and men can get swollen testicles. If untreated, Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea could affect fertility.
How do I get a test?
You don’t need to be examined. If you’re 15-24 you can order a free test kit – it’s simple and painless test you can do it yourself. They’re easy to find as they’re listed on our website and they’ll display our sign in the window.
How do I get the results?
We’ll text you. If you need treatment, we’ll arrange for you to come to your nearest Sexual Health Clinic for antibiotics. If you’re clear, just retest every year or after each new partner
